electricity
and the lamp operating for 10 hours per day for 365 days. Your rates may
vary.
As you can clearly see from the figures below, a 100 watt light bulb, that
would cost you
less than $1 to purchase, would cost you over $40 per year on your
electric bill.
Replace that 100 watt bulb with a 26 watt GE Compact Fluorescent Lamp,
which produces the same amount of light
and lasts 10 times longer, and your energy
savings would be almost $30 per year
